tchillbag – is it really the smart ice bucket?
The tchillbag landed on my desk a few months ago and it took me this long to test it out as, being a new product, I kept forgetting to use it in all the situations it recommends. But finally(!) this weekend I went on a picnic and took the tchillbag along to see if it lived up to its ’smart ice bucket’ name. And I have to admit – I really loved it!
The tchillbag is a wine bag that hardens when filled with ice and water. It’s designed to be used in any situation where you would normally use one of those big silver ice buckets or an esky – picnics in the park, BYO restaurants, wedding reception tables, drinks at a friend’s place – anywhere you want your wine to be icy cold. As a white wine drinker, keeping a bottle cool long enough to enjoy each glass right to the last is always an issue, especially during the summer, but the tchillbag did just that. And the best thing was that when I finished my wine, I only had to pour out the ice and water, let the bag go back to normal temperature and then it folded away nicely into my bag. You really can’t get more convenient than that.
After being really surprised with how well the tchillbag worked, I went back and read through the information that came with it. You might like to know that this product is reusable, recyclable and it comes in five different colours – clear, blue, red, pink and orange.
did i love it? – I loved it! There’s really nothing else on the market that compares in convenience and cost. At only $9.95, the tchillbag will definitely be going to all my friends and family next Christmas.

Hi, I am glad you liked the product. Altough I thought the price was exceptionally high. I came across a Belgian company who is bringing these on the market at a consumer price of 4,95 USD a piece… And it’s totally similar . Also in about 4 different colours and works really great. Harald
